OK, What is the deal with pre-1960 US Nickels?
ReplyDeleteI have never seen this listed as a desirable piece, but it seems they are different. I save the WW2 nickels (silver) and 38-42 non-silver.
What gives with pre-1960???
Thank you for the question Rob. We save the pre-1960 nickels simply because they are pretty rare and we are hoping that they have some numismatic value in the future. Up here in Canada we are lucky to even get one in a box of 2000 nickels, so we just keep the ones we find.
ReplyDeleteAnother way to think about it is in relation to American Wheat pennies, which grab a nice premium. I try to apply the same theory to the nickels, and cross my fingers that it works out. ;)
where do you sell the copper value and nickel value coins to to get the value of the metal..
